July 2, 2024•Absolut is launching a limited-edition bottle inspired by Andy Warhol’s rediscovered Absolut ‘Blue’ painting in the U.S. this September. The bottle includes a QR code offering access to content including instructions to make the signature cocktail Absolut Warhol’s Milk Punch. Now part of the Absolut Art Collection, the rediscovered painting will be unveiled at Stockholm’s Spritmuseum in October as the centerpiece of a new exhibition called “Andy Warhol, Money On The Wall.” The link between Warhol and Absolut dates back 40 years to when legendary drinks marketer Michel Roux and the brand commissioned the artist to contribute to its art-centric marketing. Absolut ranked fifth among all vodkas in the U.S. at 2.8 million cases last year.
•Suntory Global Spirits has appointed Carol Robert as managing director of its U.S. RTD business, succeeding Heather Boyd, who will assume a new role at the company. A 10-year company veteran, Robert was most recently COO of Suntory Beverage & Food in Great Britain and Ireland. In her new role Robert will report to Sho Semba, CEO of Suntory RTD Company, and join both the Suntory Global Spirits North America leadership team and executive management team. She’ll relocate to the company’s New York City headquarters, working closely with Suntory Global Spirits North America president Carlo Coppola. The company has set the ambitious goal of $3 billion in RTD sales by 2030, leveraging brands including On The Rocks and -196.
