July 10, 2024•Terlato Wines is rolling out a new brand design and campaign for The Federalist wine label called “Boldly Refined.” The brand’s new look includes a new, expanded label on the bottle featuring an embossed gold eagle, with a QR code on the back label offering additional information and brand content. The Federalist’s range includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Blend, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Barrel-Aged Cab, Red Blend, and Zin bottlings.
•Disaronno International USA has expanded its partnership with Breakthru Beverage, naming the distributor as Disaronno’s exclusive wholesaler in the Golden State. This builds on the existing partnership between the two companies, adding a new substantial market to the partnership, which is now active across Breakthru’s entire 16-state footprint. The alignment in California comes just over a year after Breakthru began operations in the market following the early 2023 acquisition of Wine Warehouse. In addition to its namesake liqueur brand, the Disaronno portfolio includes Tia Maria Coffee Liqueur, Engine Gin, Rabarbaro Zucca, The Busker Irish Whiskey, and Sagamore Spirits.
•Heaven Hill has kicked off “Look to Luna,” a new advertising campaign promoting Lunazul Tequila. The ad, made in partnership with agency Method1, highlights Lunazul Blanco’s versatility, showing it served neat and in cocktails. The ad will run on connected TVs, social media channels, and through streaming services/networks like ESPN, Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max, among others. Last year, Lunazul was up 38% to 1.27 million cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.
•Mixer and RTD-maker ZingZang has launched a packaging refresh across its entire line. The new packaging, according to the company, features a modernized logo and cues to signal the quality of ingredients used in the cocktails and mixers, including imagery of individual cocktails. The redesign was handled by design agency SmashBrand. The new packaging is rolling out now for ZingZang’s mixers with the company’s portfolio of spirits-based RTDs receiving the update later this year. ZingZang’s spirits-based RTDs depleted 125,000 9-liter cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.
•Miguel Torres Chile has debuted Serena Mode 0.0 Sauvignon Blanc in the U.S. The wine is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes sourced from vineyards in Chile and, after vinification, undergoes a process to remove the alcohol. Miguel Torres Chile is imported in the U.S. by Vineyard Brands.
