•Diageo is adding a new entry to its ready-to-serve Cocktail Collection: The Crown Royal Whisky Sour Cocktail with Black Cherry. This seventh offering extends the Collection’s existing lineup of cocktails, which includes the Ketel One Espresso Martini and Tanqueray Negroni among others. The cocktails come in 350-ml. ($14) and 750-ml. ($26) sizes, and each bottle serves four or eight cocktails, respectively, with an average abv of 20%.

•Frederick Wildman & Sons has unveiled a new label and campaign for Lambrusco label Riunite. The campaign, titled “On Ice…Still Nice!” calls back to the brand’s old slogan (“Riunite on Ice, That’s Nice”) and introduces a series of vintage-inspired ads. The new branding includes an embossed R on 750-ml. and 1.5-liter bottles as well as monochromatic labels with each varietal receiving a dedicated color. The pivot is a total refresh for Riunite and comes with a new website and social media channels, an influencer marketing strategy, and upcoming events. Last year, Riunite was just above 1 million cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.

•El Tequileño has announced its latest limited edition Tequila, Añejo Gran Reserva. The 40% abv spirit is a blend of 1-year-old Añejo and 2- and 4-year-old Extra Añejo Tequilas that matured in American oak Bourbon barrels and French oak used to mature Chardonnay. The new release is now available in select markets across the U.S. carrying a suggested price of $100 a 750-ml. The launch follow’s July’s Still Strength expression from El Tequileño and last year’s extra-Añejo release.

•Spanish winery Abadia Retuerta, based in the Duero Valley, is set to launch several DOP single vineyard wines this fall. While the luxury bottlings were previously available on a limited basis in the U.S., this will be a more expansive launch. The lineup includes Abadia Retuerta Ledomaine 2022 ($63), Seleccion Especial 2019 ($49), Cuvee Palomar 2020 ($80), and Pago Negralada 2018 ($105). Abadia Retuerta is working with wholesaler Favorite Brands in Texas and with new distributor Southern Glazer’s in New York and Florida as of September, with additional markets to be announced. The winery has 500 acres planted on the left bank of the Duero River, planted to 70% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah, as well as Merlot, Petit Verdot, and experimental white varieties.
