•Louisville, Kentucky-based Michter’s has announced the 2024 bottling of US*1 Toasted Barrel Finished Bourbon. This year’s release—celebrating the 10th edition of the whiskey—is bottled at 45.7% abv and started as fully matured barrels of Michter’s US*1 Bourbon before a finishing period in barrels that were toasted but not charred. Michter’s US*1 Toasted Barrel Finished Bourbon will be available in limited quantities across the U.S. beginning in September for a suggested price of $110.

•Stamford, Connecticut-based importer Evaton Inc. has named Andrew Block as chief sales officer. Block comes to the company with more than 30 years of experience, working at Gallo, Diageo, and Rodney Strong Wine Estates. In his new role, Block will work to continue to scale Evaton’s business, as the company adds new partners to its portfolio, which includes brands like Silk & Spice and Sandeman. Evaton Inc. is owned by Portugal’s Sogrape and serves as that company’s U.S. distribution arm. Evaton had volume of over 450,000 cases last year, according to Impact Databank.

•Skurnik Wines & Spirits has added California wineries Peay Vineyards, Lioco Wines, and Martha Stoumen to its California distribution roster. Skurnik already handled the trio in its East Coast distributorship, and now adds them on the West Coast as well. A national importer and distributor, Skurnik has a direct wholesale distribution network in nine states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and California.

•MGP’s Ross & Squibb Distillery has announced Remus Repeal Reserve Series VIII, the latest limited edition Bourbon from the company. This edition blends three whiskies—9% 17-year-old Bourbon, 24% 10-year-old Bourbon, and the remaining 67% a 10-year-old Bourbon distilled from a high rye mash bill—before bottling at 50.5% abv. Series VIII carries a suggested price of $100 a bottle and will be available in limited quantities across the U.S. beginning in September. Ross & Squibb is part of Luxco, MGP’s branded products division.
