Tilray Tacks On More U.S. Breweries In Deal With Molson Coors
August 14, 2024Cannabis and beverage alcohol player Tilray Brands has acquired four craft beer brands from Molson Coors, expanding the company’s alcohol holdings to 16 breweries and distilleries. Terms weren’t disclosed.
Tilray’s latest acquisitions are Eugene, Oregon’s Hop Valley Brewing Company, with one brewery, two taprooms, and a 12-state distribution footprint; Terrapin Beer Company, an Athens, Georgia brewery with a taproom and 13-state distribution; Grantbury, Texas’s Revolver Brewing, with a taproom and brewery serving Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana; and Atwater Brewery, a Detroit brand with its own brewery, three taprooms, and distribution in 13 states.
Tilray has driven growth recently with its beverage alcohol portfolio, which helped to propel the company to nearly $800 million in salesfor its last fiscal year. Tilray chairman Irwin Simon will be among the featured speakers at the 48th Annual Impact Marketing Seminar in New York this fall. —Shane English
