•Tequila Ocho, part of the Samson & Surrey portfolio owned by Heaven Hill, has released Plata Puntas 2024, the third release in the brand’s collection of overproof Blanco Tequilas. This year’s edition is bottled at 54% abv and made from agave plants grown at Rancho Mirandillas, located an hour from the brand’s Arandas, Jalisco home. The Tequila is rolling out now across the U.S. with 3,500 cases allocated to the market. Tequila Ocho Plata Puntas 2024 carries a suggested price of $75 a bottle. Tequila Ocho grew 50% to 60,000 cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.

•California’s Aperture Cellars has named Frederick Wildman & Sons as the Sonoma County winery’s distributor for New York and New Jersey. The deal makes Wildman the exclusive distributor for Aperture’s Cabernet Sauvignons, Bordeaux-style red blend, Chenin Blanc, and Sauvignon Blanc, in addition to the Devil Proof single-vineyard Malbecs from Farrow Ranch in the Alexander Valley and Rockpile Ridge in the Rockpile AVA.

•Gatlinburg, Tennessee’s Sugarlands Distilling Company has expanded its partnership with Republic National Distributing Company, bringing the distillery in alignment with RNDC in 36 markets across the U.S. The expanded partnership now covers Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Washington, D.C., Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, New Mexico, South Carolina, Texas, and Washington state. In addition, Sugarlands is handled by RNDC in the distributor’s network of control states including Alabama, Iowa, Idaho, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
