William Grant’s Sales Top $2.6 Billion
October 1, 2024William Grant & Sons has revealed sales up 14% to £1.96 billion ($2.6b) for 2023, as profit after tax jumped 33% to £444 million ($594m). Company CEO Søren Hagh noted that the strong gains were achieved despite supply chain challenges and macroeconomic shifts during the year.
Among William Grant’s key brands in the U.S., Milagro Tequila surged 30% to 780,000 cases last year, according to Impact Databank, and remains in double-digit growth this year. The company’s Hendrick’s gin label rose 1% to just under 600,000 cases stateside last year, while the Glenfiddich single malt slipped 8% to 172,000 cases.
Last week, William Grant agreed to acquire the Famous Grouse and Naked Malt Scotch whisky brands from Edrington, bolstering its position in the blended Scotch segment.—Daniel Marsteller
