October 7, 2024•M.S. Walker and entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel have expanded Forever Young Wines, adding a new French Sauvignon Blanc to the line. The new wine is made at Château Roubine in Provence and carries the Pays d’Oc designation. The wine is at 12.5% abv and carries a suggested price of $20 a 750-ml. This Sauvignon Blanc is the third wine in the Forever Young portfolio, following a rosé and a Cru Classé rosé both from Provence.
•Champagne Bollinger, part of the Vintus import portfolio, has announced the 007 Goldfinger Limited Edition, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the film. The limited offering features a magnum of Bollinger’s 2007 vintage Champagne alongside four glasses exclusive to the set all housed in an individually numbered carrying case. Only 200 sets will be available and each carries a suggested retail price of $4,000. Last year, Bollinger was at 25,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.
•Single malt Scotch maker Balvenie is bringing back its Single Barrel 12 year old, matured fully in bourbon barrels. This reprises a 2013 release of Single Barrel, which ended in 2022 due to stock constraints. Now it has returned, with each barrel yielding only 300 bottles, all individually numbered. Bottled at 47.8% ABV, Balvenie Single Barrel 12 year old is retail priced at $80. Whisky Advocate has more.
•Diageo has released a new batch of Blade and Bow 22-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The 46% abv whiskey matured at the Stitzel-Weller distillery. The new bottling will see limited retail availability in select markets across the U.S., and is also selling at the Stitzel-Weller distillery and for individual pours at the distillery’s Garden and Gun Club.
