October 11, 2024•Society De La Rassi, a new alcohol-free sparkling wine, has launched across the U.S. The Spanish dealcoholized bubbly is made from Chardonnay and undergoes vacuum distillation to bring the abv below 0.5%. The brand’s first release, Neue Brut, is made with a portion of added grape must, bringing the sparkler closer in flavor and experience to that of a full-strength wine. Society De La Rassi’s Neue Brut is now available in select retailers across the U.S. and for online shipping, with 750-ml. bottles carrying a suggested price of $70.
•Diageo has unveiled the latest release in its Orphan Barrel series, Woven Honor Single Malt Scotch Whisky Aged 18 Years. The new entry from the Linkwood Distillery was aged 18 years in American oak and bottled at 46.3% abv. Rolling out exclusively in the U.S., it’s being distributed to select spirits retailers nationwide with a suggested retail price of $185 for a 750-ml.
•Brother’s Bond, the whiskey label from actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, is releasing Brother’s Bond 7-Year Old Bottled In Bond Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The newcomer is made with 51% corn, 39% rye, and 10% malted rye, bottled at 100 proof, and retails at $60 a 750-ml. The new 7-year-old joins Straight Bourbon, Original Cask Strength Straight Bourbon, American Blended Rye, Regenerative Grain Straight Bourbon, and Bottled-in-Bond Straight Bourbon in the Brother’s Bond portfolio.
