Boisset Acquires French Sparkler Le Grand Courtage
October 29, 2024The Boisset Collection has acquired French sparkling wine Le Grand Courtage for an undisclosed sum. Le Grand Courtage, handled by Opici Wines & Spirits in the U.S., reached 50,000 cases stateside in the past few years before receding some. Founded by American Tawnya Falkner, the brand includes a Blanc de Blancs Brut and Brut Rosé produced at Boisset’s sparkling winery in Nuits-St.-Georges in Burgundy.
In the Boisset stable it joins Cremant de Bourgogne brands JCB by Jean-Charles Boisset and Louis Bouillot, and French sparkling wine Charles de Fere. Other key brands in the Boisset range include California’s DeLoach, at 225,000 cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank, as well as French wines J Moreau & Fils at 125,000 cases and Mommessin at 30,000 cases.—Daniel Marsteller
