Foley Family Wines & Spirits has opened a new distillery in New Zealand for its Lighthouse Gin brand. The distillery is part of Foley’s ‘The Runholder,’ a 19,000 sq. ft. facility on New Zealand’s North Island, which also houses local wineries Te Kairanga and Martinborough Vineyard. Lighthouse distiller Rachel Hall oversees production at the distillery, which has a 700-liter copper hybrid column and pot still custom built by Germany’s CARL, as Foley aims to expand international distribution of the brand. Part of Foley’s growing spirits stable, Lighthouse retails at $50 a 750-ml.

•Ketel One vodka has linked with Patrick Schwarzenegger, naming the actor and entrepreneur as its “Spirit Advisor” for the holiday season. The collaboration is part of a multi-platform campaign that also includes social media content and the rollout of The Espresso Mint-tini Cocktail Kit, featuring holiday serve the Peppermint Espresso Martini. According to Impact Databank, Ketel One, which is part of the Diageo portfolio, has held steady at 2.5 million cases in the U.S. since 2020. RTDs add another 400,000 cases to the brand’s volume.
