•The Macallan, part of the Edrington portfolio, has released two new whiskies as part of the brand’s Harmony Collection and made in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil. The pair celebrate the Macallan’s 200th anniversary, with Vibrant Oak being a domestic-exclusive and Guardian Oak released only to travel retail channels. Both whiskies are bottled at 44.2% abv, with Vibrant Oak aging in Sherry-seasoned American oak and refill Sherry barrels, and Guardian aging in European oak and refill Sherry casks. In addition to their respective retail markets, a limited supply of both whiskies, packed as a two-bottle set, will be available on ReserveBar. For 2023, The Macallan was at 232,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.

Louisville, Kentucky-based Michter’s has announced the next iteration of the company’s 20-year-old Bourbon, the first release of the ultra-aged whiskey in two years. The whiskey is bottled at 57.1% abv and is blended from barrels at least 20 years old, with the whiskey often containing older parcels chosen by master of maturation Andrea Wilson. Michter’s 20 Year Old Bourbon carries a suggested price of $1,200 and is available in limited quantities across the U.S.

Hood River, Oregon’s Pendleton Whisky has expanded its portfolio, adding a new Bourbon. The 45% abv Bourbon is aged for 10 years before bottling and is composed of high- and low-rye Bourbons. Like all of Pendleton’s offerings, water from Mt. Hood is used to proof the whiskies. Pendleton 1910 Bourbon is now available in select retailers across the U.S. as well as through the brand’s online store. The Proximo-owned brand is aiming for national availability by February 2025. Last year, Pendleton was at 522,000 cases in the U.S.

Maguey Imports, the U.S. distribution arm of Mexico’s Maguey Spirits, has acquired Bozal Mezcal and Pasote Tequila from 3 Badge Beverage Corporation. Terms weren’t disclosed. The two brands combined for about 13,000 9-liter cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank. Maguey Spirits has been producing them for 3 Badge up to now, and will henceforth take Pasote and Bozal under their own wing in the U.S.
