Delicato’s Bota Box Breeze has inked a new partnership with the Professional Pickleball Association, signing on as the Official Wine of the 2025 Carvana PPA Tour. At each stop of the tour, Bota Box Breeze will be featured in advertisements and other displays, as well as served at the events’ bars. Breeze, Bota Box’s lower-calorie offshoot, comes in six varieties and two package sizes, 500-ml. and 3-liter. Last year, the brand was at 710,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank. Delicato says Bota Box Breeze is now nearing one million cases.

•Johnson Brothers has named Eddie Nieves as the the distributor’s new general manager for Nevada. Nieves joins the company from Nevada Beverage Company where he also served as general manager. Prior to Nevada Beverage, Nieves served in a variety of roles at Anheuser-Busch, including Nevada retail sales director, senior key account manager, and trade marketing manager. Nieves also spent seven years working as associate beverage director at the Wynn in Las Vegas. Johnson Brothers is the fourth-largest wine and spirits distributor in the U.S., with revenue projected at roughly $3.3 billion for 2024, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter.

Evaton, the U.S. subsidiary of Portugal’s Sogrape, has debuted two new ads for Sandeman Port and Portuguese table wine Silk & Spice in New York’s Times Square. The billboard ads will run through 2025 and will rotate on a weekly basis. The first ad on Times Square’s largest billboards will be for Silk & Spice, Evaton’s blend focused label, with an ad for Sandeman’s 20-Year-Old Aged Tawny Port taking over late in December. Last year, Evaton’s portfolio topped 450,000 cases. Silk & Spice is projected at 128,000 cases this year, with Evaton CEO Stephen Brauer recently telling SND the company aims to reach 350,000 cases within three years.
