December 27, 2024•Minnesota-based Prestige Beverage Group is adding Greek wine brand Santo to its lineup, effective January 1. Santo Wines, formally known as the Union of Santorini Cooperatives, was established in 1911. A leader in Santorini Assyrtiko, the cooperative represents 1,200 local farmers and is the island’s largest producer, responsible for 30% of its total wine production. As exclusive U.S. importer, Prestige Beverage Group will oversee all sales and trade marketing efforts for the brand. The Prestige stable also includes Kinky Liqueur, Risata Wines, Windsor Canadian, Yes Way Rosé, Doña Paula, Devaux, 2XO Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, and Siempre Tequila, among others.
•Moderato, billed as the top-selling alcohol-free wine in France, has introduced its Cuvée Révolutionnaire portfolio in the U.S. Cuvée Révolutionnaire includes Blanc, Rouge, Rosé, and Sparkling Pétillant offerings. Cuvée Révolutionnaire wines have 10-15 calories per 100-ml. Moderato was founded in 2020 by industry veterans Fabien Marchand-Cassagne and Sebastien Thomas and uses Colombard, Merlot, Tannat, and Gros Manseng grape varieties from Gascony.
