Prestige Beverage Group has added German wine brand Dr. H. Thanisch to its import portfolio. The move bolsters Prestige’s luxury range, with the brand’s Rieslings now marketed alongside Prestige’s other higher-end offerings like Champagne Devaux in wine and 2XO in spirits. Thanisch has nearly 400 years of winemaking history and owns Germany’s notable Bernkasteler Doctor vineyard. In addition to handling Thanisch’s Rieslings, Prestige will also import a selection of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Blanc bottlings.

Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co.’s Town Branch Distillery has kicked off a new series of Bottled-in-Bond Kentucky Single Malt whiskies with a 15-year-old single malt, which the company claims is the oldest bonded single malt to see release. The 50% abv whiskey is made from 100% malted barley and uses whiskies commissioned by Town Branch’s founder Pearse Lyons. The series will continue annually through 2030. The inaugural release carries a suggested price of $400 a 750-ml.

•Hawaii’s Kōloa Rum Company is introducing two new rums to their portfolio, a cinnamon-flavored released and a new aged expression. The flavored rum, Kōloa Kaua’i Cane Fire Cinnamon Flavored rum, is bottled at 40% abv and made with cinnamon sourced from Hawaii’s O.K. Farms. The second release, Kōloa Single-Batch Aged Hawaiian Rum, is aged for five years in charred American oak before bottling. Initially, the duo will be available at Kōloa’s store in Hawaii with mainland U.S. distribution launching in the first quarter of 2025.

•Sazerac-owned BuzzBallz has expanded its partnership with race car driver Taylor Reimer, with the high-flying RTD brand extending its sponsorship of Reimer’s race car into the ARCA Menards Series of races. The extension marks nearly four years of sponsorship from BuzzBallz for Reimer, with the company extending its sponsorship as Reimer works towards becoming a Nascar driver. Sazerac acquired Buzzballz—which had been valued as high as $1 billion and has annual volume of 2.8 million cases, according to Impact Databank—in spring 2024.
