News Briefs for January 22, 2025
January 22, 2025•Luxco’s Rebel Bourbon has extended its partnership with Richard Childress Racing and Nascar driver Kyle Busch, continuing Rebel’s run as the racing team’s official Bourbon. Like last year, the partnership will see Busch drive the No.-8 Chevrolet with a Rebel Bourbon-themed wrap in select races throughout the season. The new design is inspired by the oak used to make Rebel’s barrels and the char that helps flavor the aging whiskey. Rebel is part of MGP’s branded arm, alongside brands like Ezra Brooks, Yellowstone, and Penelope, among others.
•Tennessee’s Chattanooga Whiskey has released the latest whiskey in the company’s Experimental Single Batch Series: Batch 042: Amaro Barrel Finished Rye. The whiskey is made from a malted rye-based mash bill and matures for more than four years including a three-month finish in Chattanooga-made German-style amaro casks. The rye is bottled at 55% abv and carries a suggested price of $70. Batch 042 is now available at Chattanooga’s distillery as well as online through Seelbachs.
