Prosecco DOC shipments to the U.S. grew 17% to 9.8 million 9-liter cases over the first 10 months of last year, according to the Consorzio Prosecco DOC. The U.S. is the leading import market for Prosecco DOC worldwide, making up 23% of total exports.

Globally, Prosecco rose 7% to 660 million bottles (55m cases) in 2024, valued at €3.6 billion ($3.8b), with the category now accounting for one-quarter of Italy’s total DOP wine production. The Prosecco DOC Rosé category has been a key growth catalyst lately, rising 20% to 60 million bottles (5m cases) last year, to represent about 10% of the total category.—Daniel Marsteller
