Southern Glazer’s has promoted Mark Chaplin to the newly created role of president, commercial sales. Previously executive vice president, commercial sales, in the new role he will report to company president and CEO Wayne Chaplin, and lead strategic objectives while assisting commercial sales divisions in execution of key initiatives, according to the company.

Reporting to Mark Chaplin in his new role will be Chris Williams, executive vice president of national accounts, and Rahul Sathe, senior vice president of commercial effectiveness. He will also work collaboratively with John Wittig, chief commercial officer, and Gene Sullivan, chief sales & marketing officer. Southern Glazer’s is the largest wine and spirits wholesaler nationally with 2024 revenues of $26 billion, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter.—Daniel Marsteller
