Cannabis Briefs for February 4, 2025
February 5, 2025- Multi-state cannabis operator Ayr Wellness has named George DeNardo as CEO. DeNardo previously served as Ayr’s COO and is stepping into the chief executive post following previous CEO David Goubert’s resignation, announced last September. In his new role DeNardo will shape Ayr’s direction on all fronts, including cannabis cultivation and processing, product manufacture, the company’s retail trade, and branding and marketing for Ayr’s various cannabis products. Prior to joining Ayr in 2023, DeNardo led Columbia Care (now the Cannabist Co.) Pennsylvania operations. Looking forward, DeNardo plans to bring Ayr’s retail and production departments closer together and examine which brands and formats perform especially well in different states to maximize growth.
