•Owensboro, Kentucky’s Green River Distilling Co. has announced “Raise Your Spirits,” the first advertising campaign from Green River in more than a century. The campaign, created by Forsman & Bodenfors, features G.R., the “ghost of Green River,” as its spokesperson and will run in streaming TV, digital video, social, and out-of-home channels across the U.S., including digital ads with Major League Baseball. The campaign has also partnered with sports host Colin Cowherd. Green River Distilling Co. is part of Bardstown Bourbon Company.

•Venezuelan rum Santa Teresa 1796 has launched new packaging in the U.S. The design refresh features a new canister for the bottle, sporting the brand’s label on the front and Santa Teresa’s rosette flourish on the lid. The new label design is featured on the bottle, which features complementary accent colors. Santa Teresa 1796 is part of the Bacardi portfolio and has had U.S. volume of around 30,000 cases in recent years.

•Wine importer Cape Classics has announced that founder André Shearer has returned to the role of CEO. Shearer stepped away from day-to-day management five years ago and will retain his executive chairman title. In addition, Matthew Dennie has been named Cape Classics’ new COO. Dennie is a Cape Classics veteran, having previously spent 15 years with the company culminating as vice president of sales and operations. Cape Classics represents a portfolio of South African and French wines including Jam Jar, Indaba, Braai, Le Roi des Pierres, and King of Stones, among others.

•Rapper Megan Thee Stallion has introduced Chicas Divertidas, a new Tequila brand, launching with Blanco and Reposado expressions. The Tequilas are distilled at Casa Centinela, a distillery with more than 100 years of history. Both expressions are bottled at 40% abv with Blanco retailing at $70 and Reposado at $80. The duo will be available in select retailers in the U.S. as well as through ReserveBar and the brand’s website.
