Moët Hennessy’s Belvedere has been named the official vodka partner of Formula 1 racing, part of a decade-long partnership between parent company LVMH and the sport. Belvedere will be featured at Formula 1 races and, at the upcoming Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix, the brand’s House of 10 activation will host the race’s official afterparty. Belvedere has had U.S. volume of approximately 400,000 cases in recent years.
Colorado’s Old Elk Distillery has revamped its flagship Slow Cut Blended Straight Bourbon release. The whiskey, now a blend of four- to seven-year-old high-malt Bourbon mixed with “Old Elk select straight Bourbons,” is bottled at 44% abv and carries a more accessible price of $40 a bottle. The release gets its name from the slow process of proofing down that Old Elk uses to bring the blend down to bottling strength. Old Elk’s whiskies are distributed across the U.S. by Southern Glazer’s.
Brugal rum, part of the Edrington portfolio, has announced Andrés Brugal Edition 02, a new luxury-priced rum celebrating the brand’s history and Dominican roots. The rum is bottled at 41.5% abv and carries a suggested price of $3,000 a bottle, with 416 bottles available globally. The U.S. will receive a dedicated allocation. Edition 02 is blended from four ex-Bourbon casks selected and blended by Maestra Ronera Jassil Villanueva Quintana. Brugal has had U.S. volume of over 100,000 cases in recent years.
