Southern Glazer’s has appointed Jennifer Chaplin Tolkin executive vice president, managing director, Campari, effective April 1. In her new position, Chaplin Tolkin will report directly to Gene Sullivan, chief sales and marketing officer, and lead Southern Glazer’s dedicated Campari division, overseeing commercial strategy and business performance across the company’s national footprint. She replaces Garrett McGuinness, whose new role will be announced at a later date. Chaplin Tolkin has most recently served as vice president of commercial sales, Campari Division.

•Wine Spectator has learned that Cliff Lede Vineyards has acquired the 7.5-acre vineyard adjacent to the winery’s Stags Leap District facility, increasing its estate vineyard holdings to more than 160 acres in Napa Valley. Since 2002, the Lede family had leased the vineyard and farmed it for its owners, the Andelin family. Lede’s total production is 20,000 cases annually. Wine Spectator has the full story.

•Proximo Spirits’ Bushmills has released a 46-year-old Irish whiskey, the oldest single malt released by the distillery to date. The whiskey, called “Secrets Of The River Bush,” is limited to 300 bottles with each retailing for $12,500. It’s bottled at 46.3% abv and matured in Oloroso sherry butts from the Jerez-based Antonio Paez Lobato Cooperage. Last year, Bushmills was at 170,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.
