March 31, 2025•Napa Valley-based importer and marketer Demeine Estates has debuted Burgess Promiscua Cabernet Sauvignon, a new luxury offering. The new bottling’s name refers to the ancient Roman practice of Agricultura Promiscua, which incorporates a variety of crops throughout the vineyard to bolster the wider ecosystem. Promiscua is billed as the signature cuvee from Burgess’s Napa Valley estate vineyards: Quartz Creek, Sorenson’s Vineyard, and Clos Abeille. Retailing at $145, production totaled 2,142 cases for the 2021 vintage, which earned a spot on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines list for 2024.
•Olé Cocktail Co. has launched with a lineup of spirits-based RTDs and non-alcoholic mocktails. On the RTD side, the brand has released four Tequila-based cocktails—a Margarita, Paloma, a chili-lime cocktail, and a Tequila Sunrise—all at 5.2% abv. Those are accompanied by Margarita and Paloma non-alcohol versions. The brand, from Mark Anthony Ventures, is available in retailers in California, Arizona, and Nevada.
•Louisville, Kentucky’s Buzzard’s Roost Whiskey has added a new Bourbon, positioned to bring the brand’s double oaked style to consumers at a more affordable price. Buzzard’s Roost Signature Double Oak Bourbon is bottled at 50% after four years of aging, with a second maturation in lightly charred and “precision toasted” barrels. The new expression carries a suggested price of $45 a 750-ml. and will be available beginning April 17. The whiskey, made from a mash of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley, will be available in the brand’s 25-state distribution footprint.
