April 10, 2025•Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits announced a national distribution agreement for the Canadian market with Campari Canada, including brands such as Aperol, Campari, and Forty Creek, effective this month. Campari and Southern Glazer’s are also linked nationally in the U.S. market. Ugo Fiorenzo, managing director of the Americas at Campari Group, said the new deal “will help us reach more consumers and strengthen our footprint in this important market.”
•Palm Bay International has launched a new marketing campaign for Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin titled “A Curious Irish Adventure.” The campaign is centered on “the Botanical Trail,” a map showing the 12 botanicals used in the gin and their nine countries of origin. Drumshanbo’s gins retail for a suggested price of $37 and, last year, the brand was estimated to be above 60,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.
•Iced tea and FMB brand AriZona has expanded into the spirits-based RTD market with AriZona Hard with Vodka. The new releases come in four flavors—Green Tea, Lemon Tea, Peach Tea, and Raspberry Tea—all at 4.5% abv and available in a variety 8-pack. In addition, the RTDs will be available in 22-ounce cans, carrying a suggested price of $3.50. AriZona Hard with Vodka will launch in more than 24 markets through RNDC.
•A new wine brand linked to the Archie Comics franchise, Archie Wine Collection, is debuting in the U.S. Initially including a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc ($23) and a red blend from southwestern France’s Roussillon ($25), the portfolio will also eventually include a domestic red blend, a Cabernet, and a Prosecco as well. Industry veteran David Biggar, who’s leading the launch, is aiming for the Archie brand to be in 40 states within a year, and says production can be ramped up quickly to meet demand. While the Archie wines are targeted at Gen Z and millennial consumers, Biggar adds that they’re expected to appeal widely across the demographic spectrum.
