Sazerac has unveiled Hawk’s Rock Distillery, the newly rechristened Lough Gill Distillery which the American company acquired in 2022. The County Sligo-based distillery and its whiskies will be overseen by master blender Helen Mulholland, with the first whiskies from Hawk’s Rock slated to debut in June.

Since the acquisition, Sazerac has done more than just rename the distillery; warehousing space has been tripled, production capacity has been expanded, and the new team is working to further modernize the distillery. Whisky Advocate recently took a first look at the project.
