•Napa Valley’s Sequoia Grove, part of the Kobrand portfolio, is introducing its first single-vineyard wine to hit national distribution. The 2021 Tonella Estate Vineyard Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon retails at $135 a bottle. It’s composed of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot, and 1% Cabernet Franc, was aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak. The Tonella estate vineyard in Rutherford was originally planted to vine in the 1800s. It’s been controlled by Sequoia Grove since 2006.

•Wente Family Vineyards is debuting a permanent addition to the winery’s core portfolio, the 2024 Pacific Mist Pinot Grigio. Retailing at $18 a bottle, Pacific Mist is sourced from sustainable vineyards on California’s Central Coast, and follows other recent additions to the Wente range like Mount Diablo Highlands Red Blend and the Baily Hill Pinot Noir (both $20). Wente notes that super-premium California Pinot Grigio is up 21.7% in the last 52 weeks at retail, according to scan data from Circana.

•California’s Riboli Family Wines has added two new releases to its Spritz Del Conte line of ready-to-serve drinks. The newcomers are a Negroni Fizz and Vermouth Spritz, with the former at 13% abv and the latter at 15%. Both wine-based cocktails carry a suggested price of $15 a 750-ml. The new launches join Classico (an Aperol Spritz style drink) and Lemoncello in the Spritz Del Conte portfolio.

•Suntory Global Spirits has launched spirits-based RTD brand -196 nationally, and is adding a new strawberry-flavored vodka soda to the portfolio. In addition to the new flavor, the 5.5% abv RTDs come in lemon, grapefruit, and peach, all made using Suntory’s Freeze Crush Infusion process that involves flash freezing before crushing the fruit. -196 is available in 4-packs of 12-ounce cans that retail for around $11 and in a variety 8-pack that retails for $20. The brand is the largest spirits label in the world in volume terms at 30.5 million cases in 2024, according to Impact Databank.
