- Campari-owned Champagne Lallier is launching R.021 Brut ($65) in the U.S., billed as the first harvest to glass wine by chef de caves Dominique Demarville.It marks the latest addition to Lallier’s flagship Réflexion series, which includes multi-vintage blends anchored in a single harvest year, according to the company. R.021 will also feature the first rosé in the Réflexion series, which debuts later this summer in the U.S. Lallier was the official Champagne at this year’s 97th Oscars in March, as part of a multi-year partnership.
- Vinarchy, the new company created by the merger of the Accolade Wines and Pernod Ricard Winemakers portfolios, has appointed Dennis Peek as managing director Americas, leading the business across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. Peek has over two decades of experience in the drinks industry, including senior roles at Heineken, most recently as CEO of Heineken Canada and CEO of Lagunitas Brewing Company. Peek takes over from Jaime Cantu, who had been acting in the role and will now transition to vice president of sales, U.S. With brands like Hardys, Jacob’s Creek, and Campo Viejo, Vinarchy has revenues above A$1.5 billion ($960m).
