  • Connecticut-based importer Evaton is introducing Fio a Fio, an aromatic white wine from Portugal’s Vinho Verde region. Translating to “Thread by Thread,” Fio a Fio is made by the same winemaking team that produces Evaton’s Silk & Spice red blend. It’s composed of three of Portugal’s native white grapes—Fernão Pires, Loureiro, and Alvarinho—and retails at $15 a 750-ml. Fio a Fio is rolling out nationally. Evaton is the U.S. subsidiary of Portugal’s Sogrape.
  • Lambrusco brand Riunite, part of the Frederick Wildman portfolio, has announced a new marketing campaign timed to National Lambrusco Day on June 21. The campaign features a revamped online and social media presence, plus influencer partnerships, sponsored content, and brand communication. In addition, Riunite is hosting a series of tasting events in Milwaukee, Nashville, Chicago, Dallas, and Tampa Bay through the end of June. Last year, Riunite was at just over 1 million cases in the U.S. according to Impact Databank.
  • Luxco’s Penelope Bourbon has released Cigar Sessions Chapter 1, a new whiskey blended with cigar pairing in mind. The whiskey brings together Bourbon, American single malt, and light whiskey, with a derived mash bill of 72% corn, 15% rye and 13% malt. Chapter 1 is bottled at 50.5% abv and, according to the brand, is blended for pairing well with a medium bodied cigar, with later releases tailored to other styles of cigar. Only 7,500 cases of Chapter 1 will be released in select markets across the U.S., where it carries a suggested price of $80. In 2024, Penelope was up 32% to 70,000 cases, according to Impact Databank.
  • Su Casa Mezcal is entering the Arizona and Tennessee markets as part of a new deal with Fox Restaurant Concepts. The mezcal will be featured across Fox Restaurant Concepts brands including Blanco Cocina, Culinary Dropout, Dough Bird, and Zinburger. Fox operates about 70 restaurants across six states, also including California, Florida, Illinois, and Texas. Su Casa has a Blanco retailing at $35-$39 and a Reposado at around $50.
