Cannabis Briefs for June 10, 2025

June 10, 2025

Belushi’s Farm, the cannabis brand owned by actor Jim Belushi, has expanded into Ohio. The flower is currently available in Bloom dispensaries in Columbus, Akron, Painesville Township, and Seven Mile, with expansion into other licensed cannabis shops pending state approval. The flower is grown by the team that makes Bloom’s house brand Wondergrove, using strains developed by Belushi at his Oregon cannabis farm.

•Connecticut-based Budr Cannabis has expanded in its home state, acquiring three of The Botanist’s locations across the state. The newly acquired outlets are in Danbury, Montville, and Vernon, and have already rebranded as Budr stores. The acquisitions were supported by Poseidon Investment Management and bring Budr’s brick-and-mortar total to eight locations (seven in Connecticut and one in Yonkers, New York).

•Colorado’s Green Dot Labs has rebranded, updating the cannabis brand’s identity and positioning ahead of an expansion into the Arizona market this summer. The refresh silos Green Dot’s products into four categories: Heirloom, focused on “legendary strains;” R&D, for small batch experimental strains; Selections, housing newer strains; and GDL Originals, for the company’s higher-end products. Green Dot will continue to release flower, live resin, and live rosin products across its lineup, with the exception of the R&D silo, which will only offer live resin products. The company’s full Arizona launch is set for July.
