Darden Sales Top $12 Billion On 6% Growth

June 24, 2025

Restaurant group Darden reported sales up 6% to $12.1 billion for its fiscal year 2025, ended in May. The growth is attributed to increases in same-restaurant sales, as well as the acquisition of 103 Chuy’s restaurants and 25 other new locations across the company’s portfolio. Darden’s largest brands—Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse—both saw same-store growth for fiscal 2025, with Olive Garden locations up 1.7% and LongHorn up 5.1%.

That offset losses in the company’s fine dining portfolio, which was down 2%. Looking ahead, Darden projects 7% to 8% sales growth for fiscal 2026, with the company planning to open between 60 and 65 new restaurants, and capital spending targeted between $700 and $750 million. The restaurant giant added that it’s considering strategic options for the 28-unit Bahama Breeze chain, including a potential sale.—Shane English
