•Champagne Piper-Heidsieck has released a new Brut Rosé, a follow up to the brand’s previous rosé Champagne, Rosé Sauvage. Brut Rosé is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir (like its predecessor, the new rosé includes 15% red wine), 25% Pinot Meunier, and 25% Chardonnay, with the brand noting that the new wine is made in a more fruit-forward style. Brut Rosé, imported by Folio Fine Wine Partners, carries a suggested price of $74 and is now available across the U.S. Last year, Piper-Heidsieck was at 39,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.

•California’s Ridge Vineyards has announced a new partnership with Breakthru Beverage in California. The new partnership, effective September 1, will see Ridge’s portfolio handled by Breakthru’s Aspect division, the distributor’s higher-end focused unit. Ridge’s portfolio covers a variety of wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and a selection of Rhône varietals grown in Sonoma County and the Santa Cruz Mountains.

•Bardstown, Kentucky’s Heaven Hill has announced the second edition of its “grain-to-glass” rye whiskey, the latest limited edition in the distiller’s ongoing series of whiskies made from locally sourced ingredients. The 2025 rye is made from a mash of 63% rye, 24% corn, and 13% malted barley, which the company notes is a higher proportion of rye than Heaven Hill typically uses. The whiskey aged for more than six years and is bottled at 52.6% abv. The new release carries a suggested price of $100 a 700-ml. and is now available in limited quantities nationwide.

The new label, designed by fourth-generation family member Alycia Mondavi, sports a collage of black-and-white photos taken from Mondavi’s family albums. On the back label, CK Mondavi’s wines now include nutritional information. The CK Mondavi portfolio retails for around $8 for a 750-ml. and $15 for a 1.5-l. Last year, the brand was at roughly 950,000 cases in the U.S. according to an estimate from Impact Databank.
