•Suntory Global Spirits has announced the latest release from Booker’s Bourbon: By the Pond Batch. The new Bourbon is 7 years old and blended from barrels drawn from seven production dates and eight warehouses and bottled at 63.25% abv. According to distiller Fred Noe, this release is named for the backyard pond where his father, the brand’s namesake, liked to relax. Booker’s By the Pond Batch carries a suggested price of $100 a bottle and is now available in limited quantities.

Avaline, the organic wine brand founded by Cameron Diaz and Katherine Power, is introducing a limited-edition bottle of its French Rosé, designed by Stella McCartney. Featuring bold, modern graphics, the McCartney-designed bottle will be available at select retailers and on Avaline’s website. Avaline earned Impact “Hot Brand” honors earlier this year after posting 50% growth to 214,000 cases in the U.S. in 2024. Since its launch in 2020, the brand has built out a portfolio in the $20-$24 price range from various global regions. SND recently caught up with Avaline CEO Jennifer Purcell.

Breakthru Beverage and Stoli Group USA have expanded their partnership into a 13th market, California. “California is a critical market for our continued growth, and we sought a partner with the scale, route-to-market strategy, and strategic mindset to match our ambitions,” said Michael Howard, president of North America at Stoli Group. In addition to its namesake vodka brand, the Stoli USA portfolio includes Elit Vodka, Kentucky Owl & Wiseman Whiskey, Cenote Tequila, and Achaval Ferrer Wines, among others.

•The “once-in-a-century” flooding that struck Kerr County in Texas Hill Country this past weekend saw the waters of the Guadalupe River rise to nearly 30 feet within just 45 minutes in the predawn hours of July 4th, devastating the area and causing major loss of life. The catastrophe prompted an outpouring of responses and support across the state—not just from government agencies, but also from Lone Star businesses, including whiskey makers.
