Opici To Handle House Of Smith Portfolio Nationally

Opici Wines & Spirits is adding House of Smith to its portfolio, agreeing to represent the Washington state winery nationally on an exclusive basis. Founded in 2001 by Charles Smith, House of Smith sources grapes and manages all farming across more than 600 acres.

The House of Smith portfolio includes K Vintners, CasaSmith, and Sixto, as well as newer entries Real Wine Cabernet and Chardonnay and Sex Rosé (the latter two brands have initial production of 20,000 cases and 8,000 cases respectively). The move marks Opici’s entry into the Washington category.

Also in recent days, House of Smith tapped Italy’s Pasqua as exclusive international distributor of K Vintners, Real Wine, and Sex wines. As part of the agreement, Pasqua has also become a minority partner in the Real Wine brand.–Daniel Marsteller
