•Bacardi-owned Patrón Tequila has formed a new global partnership with international music platform Boiler Room. The effort will include events in Ibiza, London, and Los Angeles, each co-produced with globally renowned artists, according to the company. Patrón’s high-end El Alto expression will be featured in dedicated Patrón bars and cocktail menus, and there will also be an exclusive content series tied in with the events.

Fernet-Branca is launching a new limited edition bottle in commemoration of its 180th anniversary. The release—exclusive to the U.S. and limited to 49,000 bottles—comes with a new label, featuring the brand’s eagle iconography and a surrealist depiction of Branca distillery. In addition, the brand will set off on a yearlong tour celebrating a selection of bars that feature Fernet-Branca. The “Merchants of the Know” will include bar visits by sixth-generation family member Edoardo Branca, as well as other brand representatives. The limited edition bottling will be available in select retailers across the U.S. as well as through the brand’s website. Fernet-Branca is imported by Branca USA along with Antica Formula, Punt e Mes, and Brancamenta, among others. Last year, Fernet-Branca was up 6.2% to just under 100,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.

Serrallés USA has named Breakthru Beverage Group as the importer’s new California distributor. The alignment extends Serrallés’s relationship with Breakthru, which handles the Don Q producer’s portfolio in six other states, including Illinois and Missouri. The move covers the entire Don Q line, including higher-end and limited edition releases. Last year, Don Q was at 260,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.

•Sancerre’s Joseph Mellot has acquired fellow Loire Valley estate Domaine Michaud, an organic producer in the Touraine-Chenonceaux AOP. Imported in the U.S. by Albert Bichot USA, the move expands Mellot’s footprint in a key appellation for premium Sauvignon Blanc, according to the company. The relationship between the Mellot and Michaud families goes back four decades to when Alexandre Mellot and Thierry Michaud studied winemaking together in Beaune.
