Opici Goes With Breakthru and Classic Wines In California

New Jersey-based Opici Wines & Spirits has appointed Breakthru Beverage and Classic Wines as its California distributors, effective September 1. Opici’s portfolio of over 50 brands will be allocated between the two distributors “in a strategic approach to expand its reach and meet the evolving needs of the California market,” the company noted.

“Our new alignment in California enables us to better serve the needs of our diverse portfolio and provides more growth opportunity for all of our brands,” said Don Opici, CEO. Opici Wine & Spirits’ volume has been above 1 million cases in recent years. This year the portfolio has expanded with the Bodegas Borsao range from Spain and House of Smith from Washington state.—Daniel Marsteller
