August 21, 2025•Pernod Ricard’s Malibu rum has announced a new line of RTDs made with Dole pineapple juice hitting shelves early next year. The line comes in four flavors—pineapple, pineapple mango, pineapple strawberry, and pineapple dragon fruit—all at 4.5% abv and 130 calories per 12-ounce can. All flavors are made with Malibu, Dole pineapple juice, sparkling water, and other natural flavors. The new RTDs are rolling out in an 8-can variety pack, with the pineapple and pineapple mango flavors also available in 19.2-ounce cans. Last year, Malibu Rum Cans were at 444,000 cases in the U.S., with the flagship rum at 2.3 million cases, according to Impact Databank.
•Grey Goose vodka, part of the Bacardi stable, is returning to the U.S. Open of tennis this month, gaining exposure both at the event itself as well as with a bar pop-up at Grand Central Terminal and renewed partnership with American tennis player Frances Tiafoe. The Grey Goose “Honey Deuce” cocktail continues to show impressive sales at the tournament, with more than 556,000 sold at the 2024 edition, marking a 24% increase over the year prior and generating nearly $13 million in sales. The brand is also offering “Honey Deuce Express” service in New York, Chicago and, for the first time, Miami, delivering canned versions of the cocktail right to fans’ doors for the duration of the tournament via Uber Eats and Cocktail Courier.
•California sparkling wine producer Chandon, part of the Moët Hennessy portfolio, is launching a new 100% Chardonnay Reserve Blanc de Blancs offering nationally. Aged for a minimum of 3.5 years and partially fermented in French oak barrels, the newcomer retails at $32 a bottle and is made from regeneratively farmed, estate-grown Chardonnay in the cool-climate Carneros style. According to Impact Databank, Chandon grew 2% to just under a half-million cases in the U.S. market last year.
•M.S. Walker Brands has named Breakthru Beverage as distributor of Ghost Tequila in the California market. A spicy Tequila made with ghost pepper, the label joined the M.S. Walker Brands stable late last year. Breakthru has also added Virginia Distillery Co. to its rolls in the Minnesota market. With the agreement, Breakthru now handles Virginia Distillery Co. across all of its 16 U.S. markets.
