Copper Cane Expands Threadcount Range

August 27, 2025

Joe Wagner’s Copper Cane Wines & Spirits is expanding its Threadcount brand with the addition of a California Cabernet Sauvignon and California Rosé. Retailing at $20 and $18 respectively, the new wines join Threadcount’s existing lineup of Cabernet, Sauvignon Blanc, and Red Wine. The California Cabernet is debuting now, while the Rosé is rolling out in mid-September.

“We created Threadcount on the principle that everyone should be able to enjoy fine wine without hesitation,” said Wagner. “Threadcount is about everyday luxury.”  Earlier this year, Copper Cane agreed to sell its 130,000-case Elouan brand from Oregon to local player Stoller Wine Group for an undisclosed sum. Wagner told SND that the company has been sharpening focus on the Quilt, Threadcount, Belle Glos, and Böen labels.—Daniel Marsteller
