González Byass USA Debuts New Wolfcraig Scotch From Richard Paterson, Ian Macmillan
September 9, 2025Wolfcraig, a luxury-focused blended Scotch, has launched in the U.S. via González Byass USA. The brand, founded in 2017 by Michael Lunn and his son Jamie Lunn, brings together the whisky-making talents of Richard Paterson, former master blender at The Dalmore, and Ian Macmillan, former master blender for The Macklowe and Bunnahabhain, among others. Andrew Sinclair, González Byass USA’s CEO, called the new entry “the very best of modern Scotch whisky making, blending heritage with innovation.”
Named for a Celtic legend, the brand launches in the U.S. with three expressions: Wolfcraig 14 Year Old Deluxe Blend, 30 Year Old Premium Blend, and 35 Year Old Blended Grain. The 14-year-old blend is finished in Amontillado, Pedro Ximenez, and Muscatel barrels, and the 30-year-old blends whiskies from all five of Scotland’s regions before finishing in Pedro Ximénez and ex-Bourbon casks. Finally, the 35-year-old grain whisky aged in used Bourbon casks. Wolfcraig is rolling out now in limited quantities in select U.S. markets.
