  • Suntory Global Spirits has announced Laphroaig Elements 3.0, the latest limited edition from the brand to explore unique single malt production techniques. For 3.0, Laphroaig used malt that was smoked over hotter fire and for a longer period of time, which the company says created a whisky with more “chocolate and burnt caramel” notes. The whisky is bottled at 55.3% abv and carries a suggested price of $165. The last entry in the series, Elements 2.0, was named the Whisky of the Year for 2024 by Whisky Advocate. Last year, Laphroaig was at 52,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.
  • Bronco Wine Company has made four new executive appointments to lead its sales and marketing teams across the U.S. The company appointed two new vice presidents of sales with Allie Mansfield leading the company’s East division and Timothy Hill helming the West. In addition, Kate Eckert has been named senior director of brand marketing and Christine Gregory is Bronco’s new senior director of sales planning, BI, and analytics. Bronco produces 100,000-plus case brands like Charles Shaw, Crane Lake, Redwood Vineyards, Coastal Vineyards, and Salmon Creek, among many others. In recent years, the company has been among the top 15 U.S. wine suppliers with total volume around 3 million cases.
  • M.S. Walker has given St. Elder liqueurs a brand refresh, with updated logos, packaging, and a new embossed bottle. The refresh will cover the entire portfolio, including Elderflower, Blood Orange, Pamplemousse, Hazelnut, and Espresso, the newest entry to the brand. All of St. Elder’s releases are line priced at $22 a 750-ml.
  • Sweetens Cove Spirits has launched two new whiskies, a 5-year-old Tennessee Bourbon and a 6-year-old wheated Bourbon, also from Tennessee. The 5-year-old release is bottled at 46.85% abv and carries a suggested price of $45. The older whiskey, Dunwoody, is bottled at 47.5% abv, retails for $60, and is named for a tree overlooking the Sweetens Cove golf course. The new whiskies will hit shelves in Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Colorado, South Carolina, and North Carolina on September 25th. The brand counts NFL Hall of Famer Payton Manning and tennis great Andy Roddick among its founders and investors.
