•Diageo has announced this year’s Don Julio 70 Añejo Cristalino Artist Edition, designed by Mexican-American designer Willy Chavarria. This year’s Artist Edition’s artwork is inspired by Dia de Muertos. The bottling, the second year Don Julio has partnered with an artist to create a special edition for 70, carries a suggested price of $70 for a 750-ml. and will be available in select retailers across the U.S. and the brand’s website. Last year, Don Julio was up 40% to 3.34 million cases in the U.S., with retail value above $2.5 billion, according to Impact Databank.

•Royal Wine Corp has expanded Bartenura with a pair of wine-based cocktails, made using Italian wines. The duo—Peach Bellini and Orange Mimosa—come in 4-packs of 250-ml. cans with each can at 5% abv. Initially, the cocktails will be available in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Illinois, California, Maryland, and Texas, with Royal Wine Corp planning for considerable expansion in the near future. Last year, Bartenura was at 685,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.

Four Roses Distillery has released a new limited-edition Private Barrel Selection, celebrating the company’s Salt River Cleanup initiative. The whiskey is made using the company’s OBSK recipe and aged for nine years and 11 months before bottling at cask strength. The LTO carries a suggested price of $120, with half of all sales going to the Kentucky Waterway Alliance. In addition, this is the first Four Roses bottling to feature the company’s new Private Barrel Selection Label. Four Roses Salt River Cleanup Private Barrel Selection is available at the company’s distillery. Last year, Four Roses was at 430,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.

•Texas’ Garrison Brothers Distillery is set to launch its ninth Bourbon, Sonora Texas Straight Bourbon Finished in Rye Whiskey Barrels, on October 18th. The 54% abv whiskey initially matured in new oak for four years before finishing the rye barrels for an additional three years. The whiskey is limited with 1,000 bottles dedicated to the distillery’s store and another 5,000 heading out into limited distribution. Sonora carries a suggested price of $160 a bottle with $5 from each bottle donated to the Texas Cave Management Association to preserve the whiskey’s namesake caves.
