September 16, 2025•Trulieve has expanded its hemp THC brands Onward and Upwards, with new drink flavors, all at 10mg of THC per can. The new flavors for Onward include Berry Smash, Cosmopolitan, Lemon Drop Martini, and Paloma, with all available in individual 4-packs ($18) and in a variety 4-pack ($19). For Upward, the company has added a new Half & Half iced tea & lemonade. The new releases, according to Trulieve, were prompted by the success of Onward’s previous 10mg offering, which was the brand’s best selling SKU by nearly 100%.
•Lifetime New York cannabis sales have reached $2 billion, with $1 billion generated so far in 2025 alone. Last week, the state’s Office of Cannabis Management announced that through early September 2025, New York dispensaries generated $1.06 billion. Before this year, New York’s cannabis industry totaled $1.03 billion since the first adult-use retailers opened in late 2022. In other good news for the industry, the OCM said, “Sales per store have climbed for the second month in a row, signaling strong demand and growing stability in #NYcannabis,” in a post on X. In addition, the OCM announced 46 new licenses for adult-use cannabis businesses, bringing the total licensed business to over 1,900.
•Connecticut-based Curaleaf is expanding its retail footprint, adding new dispensaries in Ohio and Florida. The new Ohio dispensary is located in Girard and the Florida outpost is in Apopka. The two new dispensaries brings Curaleaf’s retail and medical footprint to 157 across the U.S., with five locations in Ohio and 69 in Florida. The Ohio location will serve both adult-use and medical customers, with Florida’s serving the state’s medical marijuana patients. “With Apopka, we are deepening our roots in Florida by serving an important new region for medical patients, and with Girard, we are proudly delivering the first licensed dispensary to the city,” said Boris Jordan, chairman and CEO.
•Five THC has added a new watermelon flavor to its Indica Chill Gummies line of hemp THC edibles. The new flavor is made with 10mg THC, 10mg CBD, and 2mg CBN. In addition to the watermelon flavor, Five offers gummies in Red Razz (hybrid) and Blue Razz (sativa) both at 10mg of THC and CBD, with the sativa gummies including 2mg of CBC and the hybrid gummies featuring 2mg of CBG.
