Jack Daniel’s Sweet Mash, Barrell French Oak Finish, Ardbeg Vintage Y2K, and newcomers from Still Austin and Nc’Nean are among the offerings featured in Whisky Advocate’s latest weekly roundup. The website has all the details.

Hotaling and Co. has announced a new limited edition Bourbon from Hirsch Selected Whiskeys finished in Hine Cognac barrels. The whiskey is distilled from a mash of 72% corn, 13% rye, and 15% malted barley before an initial maturation of five years and eight months in new oak. Following that, the whiskey spent one year and 10 months finishing in barrels that previously held Hine’s 30-year-old Cognac. Hirsch Selected Whiskeys the Cask Strength is limited to 3,900 bottles retailing at $180 apiece. It’s rolling out now to select retailers in Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Washington, New Jersey, Texas, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Tennessee, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

Zamora Company’s Yellow Rose Distilling has released a new limited edition whiskey, with proceeds to benefit flood victims in Texas’s Kerr County. The whiskey is a blend of traditional Bourbon and 100% corn whiskey, bottled at 43% abv. Sales of the whiskey will benefit the Texas Flood Relief Fund. Yellow Rose Kerr County carries a suggested price of $40 a bottle and will be available across the Lone Star State.
