•Pernod Ricard has announced The Glenlivet 12 Year Old Jamaica Edition, the first whisky in the new “Beyond Speyside” series, which will feature global influences on brand’s single malts. This first release is finished in Jamaican rum barrels with subsequent whiskies using cask finishes to tie the single malt to locations around the world. To promote the release, Pernod has paired brand ambassador and actor Thomas Doherty with Jamaican-Scottish designer Nicolas Daley for a new campaign featuring Doherty exploring Jamaica. Last year, the Glenlivet was at 412,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.

•Suntory Global Spirits has announced the latest release in El Tesoro’s Mundial collection: an Añejo Tequila aged in Yamazaki whisky barrels. Mundial Yamazaki Edition is bottled at 42% abv after 12 months of aging in the Japanese barrels, with the company noting that this is the first time that Yamazaki barrels have been used for Tequila aging. The limited release carries a suggested price of $200 a bottle and is rolling out now to select retailers across the U.S. Last year, El Tesoro was up 4.5% to 55,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.

•Edrington’s Highland Park has launched Between You and I, a new 16-year-old single malt made in collaboration with chef Björn Frantzén. The 48% abv malt ages in a combination of Sherry seasoned European and American oak, ex-Bourbon barrels, and new Swedish oak, a first for the brand. The whisky carries a suggested price of $180 and comes in a graffiti-inspired cardboard box with a booklet of prompts to inspire consumers to experience the whisky in a personal way. Between You and I is rolling out now across the U.S. Highland Park was at 15,000 cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.

Taylor Fladgate has released Single Harvest 1975, the latest in the Port house’s line of 50-year-old fortified wines. The wine aged in Vila Nova de Gaia and sits alongside other special releases like 2022’s Golden Age 50 Years Old Tawny and a single harvest Port from the 1964 vintage. Taylor Fladgate Single Harvest 1975 carries a suggested price of $480 and is available in select retailers nationwide. Taylor Fladgate grew 4.5% to 61,000 cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank, ranking second in the Port category after Fonseca.
