Molson Coors has announced a corporate restructure, including eliminating roughly 400 salaried positions across its U.S. business. The move, according to the company, will make Molson Coors “a leaner, more agile” business and allow the company to position for future growth. The cuts include unfilled roles from previous efforts to secure the business as well as filled positions that may be offered severance. Molson Coors says this restructuring will shrink the company by roughly 9% and be complete by the end of the year. Molson Coors is the second-largest brewer in the U.S. with volume of 579 million (2.25-gallon) cases, according to Impact Databank.
