Southern Glazer’s Closes Deal For A-B Distributorship In NYC

Southern Glazer’s has closed its acquisition of Anheuser-Busch’s owned New York City distribution operation for an undisclosed sum. The deal was originally announced in August. Effective immediately, the business will operate under the name Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company of New York, servicing Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, and the Bronx.

The move will see Southern Glazer’s handle Anheuser-Busch’s full portfolio sold in the New York City area, including beer, spirits-based RTDs, and the new energy drink line, Phorm Energy. In addition to Anheuser-Busch’s portfolio, Southern Glazer’s will also distribute Sazerac, American Beverage Craft, Red Bull, and BeatBox Beverages across Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, and the Bronx.
