Wilson Daniels is expanding its national portfolio with the wines of Napa Valley’s Chateau Montelena, effective January 1. Montelena, known for its triumph in the fabled 1976 Judgment of Paris tasting, is led by second-generation CEO Bo Barrett along with winemaker Matthew Crafton.

Wilson Daniels will be handling Montelena’s Napa Valley Chardonnay, Napa Valley Chardonnay Half-Decade Library Release, Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, and Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Decade Library Release. Wilson Daniels’ sales and marketing teams will embark on a multi-city national launch tour with Barrett and Crafton next February.

With its flagship vineyard located at the top of the Napa Valley in the Calistoga AVA, Montelena also recently made a move in Carneros. “The Barrett family has intensified its dedication to quality through continuous improvement in its vineyards, winemaking, and resulting wines,” said Wilson Daniels president Rocco Lombardo. ”Most recently, the purchase of 73 acres in Carneros will solidify the legacy of their legendary Chardonnay.”—Daniel Marsteller
