Whisky Advocate Names Islay, Highland And Lowlands/Campeltown Malts Of The Year

Whisky Advocate has named its annual award winners from the Islay, Highland and Lowland/Campeltown single malt Scotch segments. Ardbeg Supernova 2015 Release (54.3% abv, $160) has taken the title of Islay Single Malt of the Year, while Dalmore 21 year old (42% abv, $530) won honors in the Highland category. Springbank Sherry Wood 17 year old (52.3% abv, $130) is the magazine’s Lowland/Campeltown Single Malt of the Year. Whisky Advocate is announcing its annual award honorees one day at a time on its blog, culminating with the naming of a Lifetime Achievement honoree tomorrow and the Distiller of the Year announcement on December 16.
