AB InBev Adds Four Peaks Brewing To Newly Created Craft And Import Unit, The High End
December 21, 2015Anheuser-Busch InBev has agreed to acquire Tempe, Arizona-based Four Peaks Brewing Company. Founded in 1996, Four Peaks expects to sell about 70,000 barrels this year, with a lineup including flagship Kilt Lifter Scottish-Style Ale—accounting for 60% of sales—as well as specialty beers like Hopsquatch Barleywine and Pumpkin Porter, which grew 150% last year. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016 and includes Four Peak’s three primary locations across Tempe and Scottsdale, Arizona.
Meanwhile, ABI has created a new division, The High End, to house its craft and European import brews. In addition to Four Peaks, The High End business unit will include fellow ABI craft labels Goose Island, Blue Point, 10 Barrel, Elysian and Golden Road, as well as Stella Artois and Shock Top.
