September 28, 2016•Seattle-based Two Beers Brewing and sister company Seattle Cider have merged with French agribusiness cooperative Agrial Group. Financial terms weren’t disclosed. Agrial, the largest cider producer in France, will help the Seattle-based brands—which will continue to operate independently under founder and CEO Joel VandenBrink—expand domestically and internationally. In addition to enhancing investment and distribution behind the Seattle brands, Agrial is planning to begin importing its Louis Raison French cider brand to the U.S. Seattle Cider, now distributed across 12 states, is projected to produce about 21,000 barrels this year, while Two Beers is aiming for 8,000 barrels.
