June 14, 2017•Seattle’s Fremont Brewing has announced that its Lush IPA will now be distributed year-round. The IPA was first released in January 2017 as Fremont’s spring seasonal but its popularity among drinkers quickly cemented its status as a flagship beer. The 7%-abv ale is brewed with pale and honey malts as well as Citra and Mosaic hops. Lush IPA is now available on tap, in 22-ounce bottles and in six-packs of 12-ounce bottles and cans across Washington, Oregon, Idaho and parts of Colorado.
•Iowa-based Copper Cross Spirits has launched Copper Cross Hybrid whiskey. The whiskey is a combination of Bourbon made from a 60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley mashbill and rye made from 95% rye, 5% malted barley. The 42%-abv entry retails at a suggested price of $34.99 a 750-ml. Initially it will be available in 20 states, with 15 more markets slated to follow.
